Season Three Episode 86 Kodály Series: Master Copies with Kristin Vogt Kristin Vogt is the Music Specialist at Brinker Elementary School in Plano ISD, where she teaches K-5 students.  Kristin received her Bachelor of Music in Music Theory in 2000 and Masters Degree in Music Theory and Music Education from SMU in 2003.  She earned her Kodály certification from the Plano ISD/UNT program and her Orff Schulwerk certification from SMU.  This is her 17th year to teach elementary music.  She presents professional development sessions for school districts in Texas and the OAKE National Conference in 2010 and 2018, AOSA in 2016.  Kristin is the Past President on the executive board for Kodály Educators of Texas.  She has two sons (a freshman in high school and a 6th grader).  She is an avid runner and an adjunct professor at Texas A&M-Commerce. Season Three Episode 85 Orff Approach with Chris Judah-Lauder Chris Judah-Lauder Bio: Chris Judah-Lauder taught elementary and middle school music for 40 years in public and private schools. She is a regular presenter at state, regional, national conferences, Canada, South Korea and China. She is a Past President of AOSA and was the National Conference Chair for the 2009 and 2017 AOSA Conferences. Chris is currently consulting for title one schools in Fort Worth, Texas working directly in the classroom with the music teacher and K-5 students. Chris teaches AOSA-approved Teacher Education Courses at various universities across the United States. She is a senior author for Macmillan/McGraw-Hill, has seventeen publications including Drum with a Passion and Games, Groups, and Gems, In the Modes, Hand Drums on the Move. Season Three Episode 84 Orff and Modern Band with Martina Vasil Martina's Bio: Dr. Martina Vasil is Assistant Professor of Music Education and Director of the Modern Band, Orff Schulwerk, and Dalcroze Summer Institute at the University of Kentucky (UK). She teachers collegiate courses in general music, popular music education, and qualitative research.  She continues to teach PreK-6th music at Lexington Montessori School.  She is Orff Level III and Dalcroze Level II certified.  Martina was a member of the inaugural Modern Band Higher Education Fellowship and has brought Modern Band training to teachers locally and internationally (Liberia).  Martina's research centers on popular music education, Orff Schulwerk, and music teacher education.  She has been published in the  International Journal of Music Education ,  Journal of Music Teacher Education ,  UPDATE: Applications of Research in Music Education , and the  Orff Echo .  She recently published a book chapter, "
